The State We're In
We've locked ourselves away in a studio in Nottingham and starved ourselves of all luxuries to concentrate on writing great songs and making the recordings as great as possible.
We produced and mixed the record ourselves together with Guy Elderfield and wanted to get everything ready to go before playing any shows.
We decided to put the EP and the record out together in quick succession as we felt in the changing climate of the music industry the standard model of releasing records seemed pretty much irrelevant and it was time to try something new. We've been away for a while so just wanted to give the fans everything we've been working on so people are familiar with the tracks when we get on the road.
Next year we're stoked to be touring and playing festivals again. Being disciplined for the last few years has been so difficult and playing live is always our favourite ever thing to do.
We love this record and playing it live is going to be a new challenge, we all can't wait to see people’s reaction across the UK and look forward to getting to do it all again.
"It's every bit as adept as you might expect - a neat follow on from their debut, it also feels rather more mature, a little more rounded. Experience has changed them, for sure, but not at the expense of that innate charm which made them so endearing in the first place.”
